Based in beautiful Bokeelia Florida, Juli studied at Columbus College of Art & Design. CCAD is a premier, private visual arts college in Columbus, OH. that was founded in 1879. As a Southwest Florida Artist, Juli is inspired daily by the vibrant beauty, charm and somewhat magical qualities of island life. Her work reflects love for all things coastal, bright, tropical colors, playful marine life, sunny waterfront scenes and a joyful spirit that makes living on the island so special. Juli's Early Days
From growing up in Ohio, to her vibrant life on Pine Island, artist Juli Gilson has always been drawn to the coast. Her work beautifully reflects the natural gifts of the sea—seashells, sea glass, driftwood—and brings them to life in her paintings, driftwood sea creatures, birds, boats, and resin art. She even uses historic Pine Island windows as frames for her coastal creations.
